Cottage for rent
on the slopes of beautiful Csobánc; a secluded mountain and one of Hungary’s most picturesque winebergs in the famous Badacsony area of Lake Balaton, Hungary. It is a two-hour drive from Budapest.

The beautifully renovated cottage (2008–2009) is a former press house and wine cellar. It is part of a vineyard run by the Hungarian—Norwegian—Canadian couple Peter and Aagoth Sándor. Guests have the cottage to themselves in tranquil and lush surroundings in the midst of an active winery. A stay provides a green experience, with vines just outside the door and power generated from solar panels.

Guests are welcome to enjoy wine from our cellars, which is included in rental price.

The cottage is fully furnished with modern facilities and antiques, handmade paintings and quilts. For the décor we have combined the warmth of local Hungarian antiques with a cooler Scandinavian style. With a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, the cottage is ideal for four people, but an extra bed may be added if needed. The outside area includes a patio for outdoor meals and a large lawn for lounging in the sun. The cottage also comes with high-speed wireless Internet.

The cottage is available from May through October.
