The Cherry Cottage is the house to the left. The main house, to the right, is where Aagoth and Peter stay for the summer. Up at the top of the hill you can see the ruins of Csobánc Castle—the small pillars you see jutting up on the slope to the right. Dating back to the 12th century, the castle was a part of Hungary’s royal border defense system against the Turks from 1552. |

| Last summer (August 2011) we had our local stone mason build a rustic outdoor shower, for a refreshing rinse in fresh air. The eastern wall created a nice backdrop for a grill, see images below. | ||||||||||||||

| A bunch of assorted herbs from the kitchen garden – sage, rosemary, flat-leaf parsely, tyme and terragon. Last year (July 2011) we planted a little cluster of herbs by the Cherry Cottage entrance for free use by guests; mint, sage and rosemary. We are in love with mint and our favourite new salad is Aagoth’s minted tomato. We are excited to see how the little bushes develop! | ||||||||||||||
